Pro-Tect GRP Enclosures Limited, a leading manufacturer of bespoke GRP Enclosures in the UK and a market leader in the GRP sector, is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Procurement & Stock Control Officer to join our growing team.


As Pro-Tect GRP Enclosures Limited continues to expand in the UK and European market, we are looking for an individual with a strong background in Procurement and stores management, capable of working in a fast-paced environment and paying meticulous attention to detail.

Role Summary:
As the Procurement & Stock Control Officer, you will be responsible for managing the procurement functions of the company.

Your key responsibilities will include maintaining inventory levels through stock control, liaising with the accounts department and ensuring PO's and POD's correspond with associated invoices, and meeting and negotiating cost savings with potential suppliers.

Accurate record-keeping and compliance with company policies and procedures will also be crucial aspects of your role.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of all stores transactions and update inventory levels accordingly.
  • Procurement of all Pro-Tect GRP's materials to ensure a constant work output.
  • Liaising with the accounts department and ensuring PO's and POD's correspond with associated invoices
  • Collaborate closely with the manufacturing team to ensure a smooth flow of materials and supplies, supporting production schedules.
  • Participate in cost reduction initiatives and proactively identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Meeting and negotiating cost savings with potential suppliers.
  • Assist with regular stock checks when necessary.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations, and maintain compliance with ISO standards.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of GRP materials, production processes, and standards.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in computer packages such as Excel, Word, and Microsoft.
