Temp to perm opportunity - based at Barton Under Needwood nr Burton On Trent Staffs (own transport needed)
£equiv. salary to circa £31,000 per annum
To start asap
37 hours per week Monday to Friday working standard days

The role
To expedite all material deliveries in line with the open purchase order book and resolve supplier issues.

Work with and develop suppliers to ensure the required level of OTIF performance for all demand streams including Casualty and Planned material requirements.


This role will be responsible for:
Ensuring that materials are expedited to the schedule required to meet any operational/sales/contractual requirements. Ensuring that the status of all orders and deliveries is accurately maintained. Liaising with other departments as necessary to ensure continuityof order progress. Expediting rejected material. Visiting Suppliers as required.

To understand, measure and reduce missing parts on a daily basis and work with all parties to understand the root cause of missing parts.

Development and updating of Supplierperformance measures in key areas of Supplier performance. Participate in regular Supplier review meetings to discuss performance, delivery schedules and day to day business issues. Communicate and improve any errors found to static data files. Conversiona P/Reqs to purchase order, and distribution to the Supply Chain. Control and management of free issue material. Development of suppliers to increase their OTIF performance.
Occasional travel required to other UK sites will be required

You will need to have worked in material planning delivery / scheduling, Inventory / expediting arena ideally within manufacturing - production environments but such as FMCG or general Warehousing - Distribution and or similar considered.

Ideally you will haveused such as SAP or similar operational MRP ERP systems,(Strong excel ideally) have a strong eye for detail as well as excellent communication skills and be able function effectively both individually and as part of larger team and with wider community ofinternal partners.
