Description
A small but expanding Home Insurance Provider who specialise in on-line home insurance within the UK market who are experts in insuring people in the non-standard property market, have a need for an experienced Home Claims Handler to join their newly created team.
As an experienced Home Claims Handler, you will work will work with the Customer Relations Team and a dedicated team of Senior Claims Handlers where you will play a vital part ensuring that all claims related complaints are handled through to conclusion.
You will be working in a fast-paced environment where change happens regularly.
The Company consists of Insurance Industry specialists alongside a wide mix of technologists, data scientists and customer and marketing experts from a range of backgrounds and industries with an ambition and shared innovation to make a difference helping people protect their homes.
Key responsibilities:
- Review and manage claims related complaints through to conclusion
- Carry out investigations of all complaints in accordance with TCF and FCA regulation
- Be fully involved liaising with customers, TPA's and other business stakeholders
- Handler various complaints including those where customers have escalated their concerns to the FOS
- Work closely with stakeholders across the business to address weaknesses and recommend improvements using root cause analysis
Applicant Requirements:
About you:
- Home Insurance Claims handling experience up to and in excess of £50k
- Experienced in writing/reviewing scopes/schedules of works
- Exceptional negotiation, questioning and decision making skills
- A good understanding of the FCA's regulatory framework
- Basic knowledge and an understanding of managing complaints escalated to the FOS
- Experience of handling Home Insurance Complaints carrying out end to end investigations and the delivery of fair outcomes
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Be able to work from on office base once a week
- Industry qualifications preferred but not essential
Home Claims Complaints Handler (Home Insurance) - Hybrid working with the requirement to work from the office once a week however this may change to less frequent - up to £40k per annum, discounted Insurance products for family and friends, in-house wellbeing workshops, home-working starter kit, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays with the option to buy additional days or sell, PMI, Life Assurance and pension.
