Position Summary:

The Café Front of House team leader will oversee the efficient running of the Cafe.

They are to act as an ambassador for Becws Mon Bakery and to behave at all times in a courteous and professional manner during interactions with customers.

The cafe is open Monday - Friday and the hours will be 8am - 4pm.

Essential Functions:

Without restricting the generality of the general description above, the Café Front of House shall perform such duties and responsibilities as may be assigned including but not restricted to the following:

To wear any uniform provided, ensuring it is kept clean and presentable at all times;
To prepare and manage the Cafe in readiness for opening hours and ensure service and customer areas are cleared and cleaned before close.
To ensure high levels of safety and hygiene are maintained in the Cafe and ensure all HACCP procedures are always followed. A hygiene Rating of 5 Stars must be kept.
Review work practices and operational procedures to encourage the development of the Cafe service team.
Undertake Food and Beverage stock takes.
To assist in receiving and storing stock, ensuring accurate and efficient record keeping as required
To store, prepare and maintain drinks and ingredients when necessary.
To handle cash and till receipts and ensure the security of the cafe cash register at all times.
To prepare and serve hot drinks when requested.
To prepare and serve buffets, pastries, sandwiches, hot food and other snack foods as requested and in accordance with stocks available.
To use effective customer care skills to ensure the wellbeing of customers at all times, under the guidance of the Director.
To ensure and maintain good customer relations.
Report to the director any discrepancies or issues that could affect the smooth running of the department.
To ensure that your work areas are always kept clean and hygienic and is maintained in tidy and organised manner.
Performs day to day cleaning of preparation areas and equipment.
To participate in the daily and weekly deep clean of the Cafe, completing the relevant paperwork as required.
To clear away any spills and/or breakages immediately, in accordance with company procedures, ensuring that any signs, for example a wet floor sign, are displayed promptly and prominently to ensure the safety of others.
To use all equipment and machinery in the correct manner, in compliance with both company procedure and safe systems of work, and any manufacturer's instructions. To report immediately to a member of the management team any faulty or damaged equipment and/or any potential hazards.
To support and maintain a positive working environment.
To undertake training, as directed by the Company.
To undertake any other reasonable duty as required by the Company.
