Our finance & accountancy team are on a search for a part time Management Accountant for a lovely not-for-profit in Gloucester.


  • Ensuring month end facilities are met

Including:
- processing of payroll and submission to HMRC.

  • Lead the reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts & bank accounts.
  • Responsible for the preparation & submitting of monthly pension returns.
  • Provide support with the preparation of monthly management accounts, provide cover & deputise for the Head of Finance.

The role offers flexible hybrid working for the successful applicant. This role can be full-time or Part-Time(25Hrs)

Principle Tasks:


  • Reconcile key balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis and as part of the preparation of the annual accounts.
  • Process the monthly payroll and submit to HMRC
  • Prepare and process the monthly pension returns for The Pension Trust
  • Post payments from the bank statement and reconcile the bank accounts on a weekly basis
  • Prepare the monthly budget holder reports and assist the Head of Finance & Resources with the overall preparation of the monthly management accounts including the cashflow forecast
  • Answer queries from colleagues across the organisation and as part of the annual audit
  • Manage the Chart of Accounts and maintenance of the finance system Processing of company card transactions onto the finance system on a monthly basis.
  • Process Sales and Purchase invoices into the Finance system.
  • Prepare the Supplier payment run on a weekly basis.
  • Assist the Head of Finance & Resources with preparing adhoc financial returns as required and elements of the annual accounts.
  • Cover some of the Head of Finance & Resources responsibilities during their absence to include reviewing BACS payments and dealing with queries from colleagues.
  • Other adhoc finance duties as required


Successful applicants must have exceptional communication skills and be ready to take on their next role within a Charity environment / not-for-profit environment.
