A&P Falmouth - Tug Master

We are developing our team here and are looking for a Tug Master to join the team at our Falmouth facility.

You'll support the marine and port operations of Falmouth also undertaking Coastal tow's

If you've previously been sea-going as a Master / Chief Officer and you're looking for a shore-based position this could be the role for you

Critical to the business you'll be operating mainly within the Falmouth Pilotage Area as part of a team offering coverage 24/7

So as Tug Master at A&P Group, what will you do?

You'll have authority over all on board
Safely navigate and ensure that the crews are ready at all times to carry out on board duties
You'll be the overriding authority and make decisions necessary for all on board, the tug, safety, health and environment, and to prevent pollution
Carrying out the ship's administration and providing the Marine Operations manager with status report, you'll management of all the ships certificates
Vitally you'll lead, instruct and motivate the crew clearly and concisely

And what are we looking for?

Commercial marine experience & knowledge of Ports Sector
Experience of harbour/ at Sea Towage preferred although full training will be given
Knowledge of the Port Marine Safety Code, vessel operations, counter pollution.
I.T. literate
You'll need to be flexible and work antisocial hours to meet customer and operational needs

Minimum Qualifications:

STCW Master 500grt or higher
All STCW short courses including all recent amendments
Valid ENG1 medical
