Baltic Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Permanent
Joiner, working for a client located in
Newton Aycliffe.Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Joiner to join the Design department, based at their head office.

The role will be working alongside the Workshop Supervisor to construct prototypes,displays, photography sets and showrooms.

Working within the KBB Market, you will work under the supervision of the Head of Retail & Commercial Design as a key component of the groups marketing department.


Joiner Main Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Interest in development of skills and gaining an understanding of the groups various products and how these items are installed across kitchens, bedrooms and home office
  • Install kitchen displays into the groups showroom environments
  • Prototyping of the product, giving feedback to designers and relevant stake holders
  • Constructing photography sets from the shell build including walls, flooring and decoration; through to the installation of kitchen, bedroom and home offices
  • The department covers a diverse breadth of work that embodies a lot of various skills from joinery skills through to general maintenance

Joiner Applicants:


Essential:


  • Minimum 3 years proven experience in joinery or kitchen fitting
  • Experience as lead fitter/joiner on projects
  • Competent use of power tools and machinery
  • Ability to accurately read drawings
  • Understanding of Windows, Outlook, and Microsoft Office programmes
  • Keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • Highly motivated individual
  • Ability to work as a team and with subcontractors
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Flexible work ethic working away at other group venues, working away with overnight stays and possibility of working weekends
  • Hold a Full UK driving license

Desirable:


  • City & Guilds Level 3 in Joinery or equivalent qualification
  • CSCS card
  • Shop fitting experience
  • Project Management experience
  • Additional skills such as tiling, wall building and floor laying
  • Interest in interior design and home renovations
