Description

A main contractor is recruiting a Project Manager in Dorset for a £20m project running into 2025.

The business is a multi-discipline company with projects upwards of £500m across several divisions including highways, building and rail however they also havea secure flow of work from frameworks for local authorities, National Highways, water companies and the Environment Agency.

The Project Manager is required within the regional business, who are responsible for delivering project for the Environment Agency in Dorset and neighbouring counties.

The project is £20m and consists of adapting a freshwater habitat into a saltwater habitatbuilding new tidal embankments, controlled beaches, mudflats, and salt marshes.

It is essential you have good experience of working with earthworks.

Project Manager Duties include:

Management of the commercial team with site change control and ensuring all cost, value and change control is captured in line with the contract.
Management of subcontractors and site personnel
Ensure the correct RAMS, Construction Phase Plans and H&S documentation are in place prior to work commencing
Develop and manage the programme to ensure that critical deadlines and budgets are met
Demonstrate value engineering throughout the delivery
Manage documentation for quality assurance and Health and Safety files
Chair monthly progress meetings with clients and stakeholders
Act as representative for the business always
