Hydrogeologist

£45,000 + up top 15% bonus

Yolk recruitment are pleased to be recruiting a hydrogeologist for a well-established company.


You will be responsible for managing all water resource activities related to the Factory, acting as technical expert to support operations and lead water related improvement projects.


This is what you'll be doing as Hydrogeologist:

  • Assist in the management of the existing owned sources within the Princes Gate Factory to ensure water availability and compliance. Ensure all water resource related assets are effectively maintained, monitored, and measured.
  • Manage external consultants or contractors as appropriate.
  • Compliance to legal and Nestle standards
  • Manage all aspects of WR data acquisition and analysis to support the business in water quality management, supply availability, and environmental performance.
  • Water ratio
  • Water quality data
  • Regulatory reporting
  • Act as Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the Factory with specified third party stakeholders (e.g. local council and agencies, environment agency, consultants, land owners etc.) to ensure good working relationships
  • Work with the engineering team to maintain and optimise existing WT assets and lead the process of investment
  • Liaise directly with NW Europe WR Team as well as other key stakeholders across different functions within the company to ensure alignment of all activities
  • Support business sustainability initiatives relating to Water Resources by managing Alliance for Water Stewardship certification and other local catchment improvement projects.
  • Maintain AWS certification

The experience you'll bring to the team as Hydrogeologist:
***- Relevant degree or equivalent in Hydrogeology or a related discipline

  • Experience in managing groundwater resources
  • Knowledge of technical issues related to boreholes, springs and groundwater quality.
  • Proven ability to critically evaluate results of hydrogeological analyses and reports, and give effective and targeted advice on managing complex environmental issues
  • Knowledge of UK legislation related to water resources, environmental permitting, food quality and hygiene
