Description

A regional civil engineering contractor is recruiting a Pre-Construction Manager to assist with managing tenders, assisting with planning and design queries within their Southampton based office.

The business is a principal contractor who work with localauthorities and private sector clients on projects including road widening, bridge construction, public realm work, flood alleviation schemes, sea defences and section 278 works up to £20m.

Duties include:

  • Reviewing invitations to tender, responding and producing submission
  • Daytoday management of the preconstruction team
  • Meeting with potential new clients to discuss projects and feasibility
  • Overall management of the quality of tender submission
  • Site visits to scope work and manage technical queries
  • Assist the estimating department with technical input
