Veterinary Care Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Veterinary Care Assistant to join our team at Loughborough Vets4Pets.

We are looking for someone that has great customer service and communication skills, is passionate about the care and welfare of animals, with experience in animal handling and working in an animal care environment.

This is a full time role, at 37.5 hours per week.

Duties include, but are not limited to,

  • Supporting our clinical team with the handling and care of our patients
  • Helping maintain a clean and hygienic clinical environment
  • Lab quality control, restocking surgical kits and health and safety compliance.
  • Supporting our nonclinical team with reception and front of house duties, including answering the telephone, booking and checking clients in for appointments, taking payments etc.
Our new VCA will be an excellent communicator. They will be a great team-player, as well as have a desire to learn, and to use their initiative. Applicants need to have either 5 GCSEs Grade 4 (C) or above including Maths, English and Science. Or a Veterinary Care Assistant Level 2 diploma or equivalent.
