Base Location:
Flexible Ireland, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key sites, which includes but is not limited to Belfast or Dublin.
Salary:
circa €58,000 depending on skills and experience + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

What is the Role?
As SHE Advisor, you'll be reporting to the SSE Onshore SHE Manager Ireland as part of the overall SSE Renewables SHE Team (Large Capital Projects), principally supporting onshore renewables developments across Ireland from the planning stages through to construction and handover to operations.
- Supporting the SHE Manager to ensure that the correct resources are allocated and that the projects within their remit are delivered, minimising health, safety and environmental impacts.
- Reviewing various project specific SHE documentation submitted by Main Contractors and Subcontractors including PSDP Preliminary Health and Safety Plans and PSCS Construction Stage Health and Safety Plans.
- Working with the wider Renewables Capital Projects SHE team to deliver the Safety requirements in line with the SSE Safety Family Programme, ensuring this is delivered in a clear, consistent and frequent way.
- Working alongside our Preferred/Strategic Contractors to develop stronger, safer and respectful relationships on our projects and sites.
- Supporting the SHE Manager to ensure Project Managers are engaging with their teams on all safety matters, with the intent of reducing the frequency and severity of incidents across various projects.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Experience working in a similar role within a high hazard industry, such as Onshore Wind Renewable Industry, Construction or Oil & Gas.
- Working Knowledge of ROI Health & Safety legislation in line with project development and construction.
- A minimum of a Degree level qualification in Occupational Health and Safety Management or equivalent.
- Registered member of IOSH or equivalent professional body (or desire to work towards).
- A good understanding of SHE Management Systems, SHE Risks & the ROI Legal Framework.
