JOB DESCRIPTION

AIM OF THE ROLE:

  • The Buyer is someone with drive, a starterfinisher who can see tasks through; meticulous and someone who's not afraid to ask questions and take ownership. You will have a "can do'' attitude and take pride in the work that you do.
    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key responsibilities include but are not restricted to the following:

  • Full end to end management of Purchase Orders and Buying/Sourcing related processes
  • Management of key deliveries including liaison with Material and Inventory Control Manager
  • Building and supporting supplier database
  • Resolution of related supplier invoice issues
  • Ongoing scheduling and order management
  • Creation of SKU's where needed.
  • Expediting supplier deliveries where needed
  • Analysis and action on supplier related data
  • Supplier research and evaluation
  • Managing supplier contract documents
  • Maintenance of Procurement function SharePoint and shared drives
  • Manage supplier onboarding process and documentation, along with due diligence and ISO audit records
  • Supply support to creation of category management plans
  • Supporting the Procurement Systems and Data Analyst across a broad range of tasks and operations
  • Consulting with suppliers to gather required category information.
  • Generation of key reports for the function reports in conjunction with the team analyst
  • Aiding in the creation of Procurement Dashboard and Spend Analytics
  • Building and keeping Contracts Database
  • Management of Procurement requisitions process
  • Conducting supplier negotiation on low to medium value orders as directed by Head of Procurement, but without supervision.
  • Running tactical sourcing service as directed by Head of Procurement but without the need for supervision.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Experience/Qualifications:


  • A minimum of 35 years' buying and administration experience in procurement
  • Excellent Microsoft Office
- advanced Excel is essential along with Word and PowerPoint.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 would be advantageous.
  • Good data analytics skills and an eye for details and accuracy.
  • Good commercial acumen
  • Able to work at pace and process quickly but accurately
  • Existing knowledge of data and information processing
  • Project management abilities
