Project Test Lead

THE ROLE
around the world. To do this we are embarking on upgrading and replacement of numerous
systems.
This role is to represent the Business needs on Technology projects which will transform
how customers, departments and employees interact in an operational critical environment.
The main job purpose is to lead the user acceptance testing stream on IT projects, ensuring
a high-quality system providing a robust efficient operation to our customers and employees.


DUTIES

Design and deliver a project test plan based on business processes & scenarios
Plan and schedule the test execution
Identification of suitable test data to be used during business testing
Work with the Business Analyst, Process Analyst and IT team to validate requirements to
be tested by the Business
Identify test team requirements and provide resource requirements from applicable
departments within the business
Ensure test team has required skills and identify training needs as appropriate
Track bug resolution through to completion and arrange retesting and regression testing
as required
Coordinate testing across organisational boundaries when the project requires
Work with the Accountable Project Manager and IT Project Manager to identify and
manage risks & issues and ensure the product is fit for purpose for the Business
Prepare relevant information to enable sponsor and key stakeholders to make informed
decisions on the current UAT status and prioritisation of issues
Work with the training team to identify any specific training points and/or validate training
materials


KEY STAKEHOLDERS

Internal
Interfaces with all areas of IAG Cargo, IAG IT and departments within IAG operating
companies


External
External as required-Suppliers, Customs and regulatory bodies


PERSON SPECIFICATION

Skills
Proven ability to work with Subject Matter Experts, understand business processes
and convert into test plans.
Provide testing oversight, execution, defect tracking, identify, risks and make
recommendations to mitigate.
Manage various test phases - Regression, End to End and User Acceptance Testing.
Ability to communicate at all levels and make constructive challenge.
Strong planning, organisational, analytical and reporting skills.
Resilient team player with enthusiasm for continuous improvement.
Customer and people orientated.
Identify training needs for Subject Matter Experts.


Qualifications
Degree Level or relevant experience
Accreditation in Testing e.g. ITQSB Certified - Desirable


Experience

Test Lead, IAG Cargo 3
Significant experience as a test analyst with proven experience as a test lead
Experience working in a multi-vendor delivery model
Supplier and stakeholder management
Representing the business user to ensure requirements can be tested
Demonstrable understanding of technology driven change, the delivery & change
lifecycle
Management and mitigation of risks & issues
Working with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies
Experience of different testing techniques and tools
Proficient in using Excel, Word, PowerPoint and O365


Desirable Experience
Air Freight or Logistics Industry 2+ years
Lean methodology
Excellent knowledge on latest testing techniques, strategies, testing tools or
frameworks would be advantageous
