Job Description - Trainee Solar Installer

Job Details

A willingness to learn. to gain knowledge and develop skills to become an experience Solar Installer
Assemble, install, or maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on roofs or other structures in compliance with site assessment and schematics. May include measuring, cutting, assembling, and bolting structural framing and solar modules. May perform minor electrical work.
Layout assembly and installation of solar array and mounting hardware
Assist with the electrical wiring of energy products
Lifting, loading/unloading, and moving solar panels and other materials from loading areas to the installation location on roofs and any other tasks that are required.
Provide exceptional customer experience throughout the process
Clean and clear site before, during and after work leaving the site clean and tidy, remove waste from site and dispose of it correctly following agreed procedures.

Responsibilities

Reliability and an excellent 'cando' attitude
Ability to work well in a team environment
Ability to work in environments such as heat, cold, small spaces
Ability to safely manage tools and materials such as ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries
Ability to work at heights
Ability to perform physically demanding duties, including lifting (up to 50lbs.), bending and standing for extended periods of time
Diligence and a commitment to delivering the highest quality service to the customer
An interest in renewable energy and pursuing a career in this growing sector is also a distinct advantage
Be willing to work away from home during the week.
Transport staff, materials, and equipment to, from and between sites.
Clean and clear site before, during and after work has been completed, leaving the site clean and tidy, remove waste from site and dispose of it correctly following agreed procedures.
Keep the unit/yard & vehicle clean and tidy.
Always drive safely and courteously, comply with all traffic regulations.

Qualifications

CSCS card (preferable)
Full UK Driving Licence (preferable)
You must be based in Coventry

Employment Package

Pay based on age/experience
Normal working pattern Monday to Friday but weekend work may occasionally be required
Working away from home and overnight stays will be required depending on location of work
28 Days Holiday (Inclusive of Bank Holidays)
Work based pension provided when applicable
Work Available: Full time, Part time, Contract, Daily

Salary:
From £18,000.00 per year

Schedule:
