Description

Previous experience of working in Digestive Diseases or Cancer services would be an advantage although not essential as full training will be provided.


BCSP Administrators will have collective oversight of the administrative service, ensuring a qualitative and responsive service is maintained to support the effectiveness of the BCSP.

A key aspect is supervising and supporting more junior admin colleagues in with their role remit.

The main remit of this role is to liaise with the Hub, patients, various MDT, across the cancer network, and related ICBteams.

Close working with Consultants and Senior Nurses is a major part of this role.


The post holder's key relationships will be with:

Internal:
Programme centre team, Senior Nurse, Consultants, Screening Endoscopists, Endoscopy Unit (UHS), Screening Centre clinical team


External:
Endoscopy Unit at other Trusts within Programme, Screening Hub, GP practices, ICB, other screening programmes

Accountable for providing an administrative service to the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme (BCSP) team to support the effective delivery of the Programme.

Arrange colonoscopy appointments at the identified screening centres. This would involve accessing various IT systems and liaising with local Trust Service Managers to agree local schedules etc

Maintain the BCSP surveillance waiting lists and local database.


Support the BCSP Manager in the development of performance reporting to the National Screening Programme, strategic groups and the wider health community.


Assist the BCSP Manager in the development of robust information systems that will support the current and future needs of the Programme.

Ensure adequate supplies of stationery, consumables and office equipment as appropriate.
