The department of Physics are looking to recruit a Teaching Faculty Administration Support Officer in a full time permanent position.


This is a busy and responsible role requiring a highly organised and detail-orientated individual with a flexible approach to work and an excellent team player.


The primary responsibility of this post is to assist the Teaching Office with the day to day tasks of supporting around 700 students across 4 years of their undergraduate degree.

The post-holder will be required to deal with a wide range of matters, sometimes of a highly confidential nature, on behalf of the Teaching Laboratory Manager and Assistant Head of Teaching.

Consequently, they should have strong and accurate written, numeric and IT skills (including Excel) and also possess the interpersonal skills to support members of the Teaching Faculty.

About You


The postholder must have a high level of numeracy, attention to detail and accuracy, excellent IT skills and proficient audio/touch typing.

The ability to produce well presented reports and experience of updating webpages and handbooks. Experience of working on confidential matters and the ability to prioritise a varied and busy workload are also essential.
