The Colony Wilmslow is a luxury business members club and events venue in Wilmslow, Cheshire.

Monday - Friday 8am-6pm, The Colony operates as a co-working space for our members with 4 meeting rooms and a bar/restaurant.

At the weekends, it operates as an exclusive event venue.

We are seeking an part-time and full time individuals experienced in hospitality to offer our members and guests a high-quality experience, servicing our meeting rooms, restaurant and bar lounge.

The role

As a bar/ events team member, you would be responsible for overseeing all day to day activity in the member areas, serving food and drinks to members and guests as well as ensuring the venue is well presented a all times.

You would also taking ownership of bar activities including stock management and ordering for events, working alongside the Events Manager.

As we are a small, collaborative team; we welcome and encourage all new ideas and concepts to drive bar revenues, building relationships with existing and new members.

Therefore, we are looking for those that are hands on, with additional responsibilities to be taken on as and when required.

Members club opening hours are Monday to Friday 8am - 6pm with events held midweek and at weekends. Working hours open to discussion.


Core duties

• Being part of a team in a happy and collaborative working environment and inspire them to provide the highest standards of service.
• Manage all bar and member areas, serving members and guests with alcoholic and soft drinks, coffees etc.
• Placing orders, stock control, managing the till system and cashing / balancing of the till.
• Maintain the bar and lounge areas of the club with high attention to detail
• Take ownership of the bars & supplies for events, working closely with the Events Manager
• Develop and build relationships with members
• Maximise revenue and profit for the bar by upselling, new ideas and promotions
• Assist with other memberrelated duties as and when required
