Are you a Psychology graduate eager to gain valuable experience in schools? Protocol Education is recruiting graduates like you to work as Learning Support Assistants across schools in the Gateshead area.

This role offers the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in a classroom environment and support the educational development of SEND children while gaining practical insights into an education-based career.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll work in classroom settings, providing one-to-one or small group support to children. We're looking for empathetic individuals with a passion for aiding SEND children's educational journeys. Your role will also involve managing behaviour to ensure a safe and enjoyable learning environment for all.


Requirements:


  • DBS / Right to work in the UK.
  • Interest in working with children, especially SEND children.
  • Patient, trusting, and calm approach.
  • Preferable: Experience working with children or people with SEND.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to students.
  • Assist with daily classroom tasks.
  • Behaviour management.
  • Create a safe and productive learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
