Are you an Electrical Maintenance Engineer with experience working within manufacturing?
Are you 17th/18th edition qualified?
Our client based in the Kingswinford area is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to work within their Maintenance Department on a permanent basis.
Providing support for all electrical systems including installation, refurbishment and preventative maintenance.
Main responsibilities of the role:
- Undertake periodic maintenance on all electrical equipment, components and installations
- Provide prompt response to inquiries whenever there is a breakdown and resolve the issue as quickly as possible
- Ensure that equipment is in good working order to prevent further downtime
- Installation of new electrical components and fittings to plant and building
- Work and log jobs conducted via the companybased CMMS system
- Recommend replacement for old or faulty electrical components or fitting to the management
- Keep all records of all stock and supplies, including the company's electrical equipment
- Working in collaboration with the production team to formulate the best costeffective manufacturing process
- Help/assist/suggest to the company means to reduce energy costs
- Ensure all electrical gadgets and instruments are switched off at the end of work
- Fix and maintain building fixtures and fittings
- Troubleshoot machine breakdowns and provide preventative maintenance services
- Learn new skills and attend training further increase knowledge of best practices
- Provide callout assistance across the shifts
- Design and undertake electrical works for new projects
- Participate in continuous improvement activities
- Electrical apprentice trained with minimum level 3 qualification is essential, however, qualification by experience is all accepted
- Experience working in a heavy manufacturing environment
- 5 years electrical engineering experience
- Proven experience working with safety circuits, invertors, how relays operate, speed control systems and threephase power systems
- Competent level of ability working with motors of all types
- Competent reading of control circuit/schematic diagrams
- Knowledge of pneumatics/hydraulics
- PLC knowledge advantageous
- 17th/18th edition qualified
- FLT Licence desirable
- Cranes, lifting, slings experience, advantageous
- MEWP qualification (3A + 3B) advantageous
