Description

Express Recruitment is on the lookout for a Construction Buyer to join their well-established consultancy who provide specialist services across a broad range of industries including Industrial, Leisure, Commercial & Residential.

Roles & Responsibilities

Create and maintain effective partnerships with suppliers and all relevant stakeholders within the business
Carry out market analysis to put forward competitive tendering and recommendation of new suppliers
Supporting the wider team with estimation and tender/project bids
Negotiate and deliver cost savings
Ensure that regular supplier meetings take place and implement improvement strategies

Skills & Qualifications

CIPS or APICS qualification ideal but not essential
Proven experience in a buyers/purchasing role
Knowledge of the Construction/Fire industry is essential
Proven track record of cost savings and supplier performance reviews
Excellent commercial awareness
