My client is an established and very successful engineering company supplying precision made products to a variety of industries and sectors.

They are looking for an experience Design / Project Engineer to join their team.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for the engineering design of new products and managing their development through from concept phase to production launch and those of their suppliers and partner manufacturers.

You will also be responsible for developing and implementing new manufacturing technologies and improving current products and processes.

Key Duties:

Thermal and mechanical design.
Design verification against various European Directives and International Standards.
Complete product development lifecycle management from concept through development to production launch.
3D and 2D CAD design of products using PTC Creo Thermal design using inhouse developed software.
Creation of products and structures within our ERP system, SAGE 1000.
Liaison with customers, suppliers, and all internal departments.
Investigation of new and alternative materials and construction methods.

Personal & Professional Skills:

Minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing engineering environment, ideally focussed on industrial products.
Experience in design engineering of precision products.
Proficient in the use of 3D CAD, preferably PTC Creo. Experience with other software including Dassault Systemes SolidWorks or Autodesk Fusion 360 will be considered.
Proficient using Microsoft Office, ideally including MS Project
Good communication skills, both written and verbal are essential.
A cando attitude and strong work ethic, both theoretical and practical.
UK Driving licence
Must be a British National and therefore eligible to work in the United Kingdom
