Vigo Technical Sales Person vacancy

Note due to the specialised nature of this role it is envisaged that your first year will be based onsite at our Dunkeswell (near Honiton in Devon) premises and going out alongside our technical sales people and engineers to learn about our business and product offering.
Vigo are leading independent specialists in the supply of equipment and consumables to the food and drink industries. Our dynamic team of in-house engineers install, commission, and maintain packaging, production, and processing equipment.

a leading packaging specialist working with a diverse range of clients in the food & drink, health & beauty, and candle glass sectors.

Working primarily with craft beer and cider and wine producers you will be recommending a range of solutions including:

  • Automated packaging equipment for bottling, canning, kegging, and bag in box.
  • Production equipment for fermentation (chilling & temperature control for tanks), filtration, pasteurisation, carbonation, disgorging.
  • Brewing production equipment.
  • Fruit processing including conveying and automated pressing for apples and grapes.
  • Technical advice, full installation, commissioning, and training to our clients.
  • Consumables: closures, bag in box, fittings hoses, yeasts, enzymes, and vineyard sundries.

Your responsibilities will include:


  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients within the craft beer, cider, wine, and soft drinks industries.
  • Identify client needs and recommend appropriate solutions and equipment.
  • Visit client sites (accompanied initially) to discuss equipment requirements and obtain an understanding of their production.
  • Understanding and explaining the technical information concerning equipment and processes to clients.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies to effectively address client challenges and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives and client projects.
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotations, and contracts in a timely manner.
  • Attend exhibitions, trade shows, and networking events when required.
  • Build a close working relationship with suppliers to develop product knowledge.
  • Maintain high levels of client satisfaction while meeting/exceeding sales targets.

Experience:

2 years Technical Sales experience (ideally sector based)
