The Get Ahead team is seeking an experienced and highly motivated professional to join our team for the continuation of a successful project.
This project has achieved outstanding outcomes, and is changing lives. We are now recruiting for an individual who can help us build on this success.The Get Ahead project is aimed at supporting people on Universal Credit, with a particular focus on young people. The project involves supporting people with the skills needed to find or return to work, education or training.
The Get Ahead programme combines physical activities with tailored one-to-one support and group programmes with a dedicated case worker.
About the Job:
- Provide outreach within the community to identify and befriend people that can benefit from the program (including evenings and weekends)
- Facilitate employability workshops in small groups (CV building, interview skills)
- Coordinate with local employers and to arrange miniJob Fair "Expos". Assist and work alongside a senior officer to develop working relationships with local partners and agencies
- 1:1 work supporting a caseload of clients with referrals from organisations such as DWP, schools, community groups, YOS, probation and the police
- Help promote positive outcomes including building life skills, physical activities and develop healthy relationships
- Record, monitor and report on relevant data
- You will be expected to travel within High Wycombe and Buckinghamshire.
- Establishing links with local employers and supporting claimants to access and maintain employment.
About You - Qualifications & Experience:
Ø Experience of working with young people and adults including those with complex needs
Ø Ability to work alone and as part of a team
Ø Good communication and organisational skills
Ø The ability to encourage and inspire others through engagement and positive attitude
Ø Reliable & Resilient
Ø Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
Ø Enhanced DBS required
Assessment and Interview to be held week commencing 5th June 2023.
