THE COMPANY


This well-known company have set up a new area in online safety and they are investing significantly in their Data presence; their Data team has grown from 4 people in 2021 to 50 people and they are continuing to hire.

They are looking for a Machine LearningLead to join their team, taking on direct reports and working on end-to-end machine learning projects so it could be a great next step for someone looking to grow their management & technical skills.

THE ROLE
As a Data Science Lead for the business you will:

  • Manage a team of Data Science & Machine learning experts
  • Work with senior stakeholders to deliver data science solutions and create roadmaps
  • Build and deploy machine learning models into Azure cloud platform
  • Work with the engineering, data analysis, and ICT teams to deliver data science projects
  • Translate technical problems to nontechnical audience

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Your requirements as a data science lead:

  • Proficiency with Python, SQL and Azure
  • Experience writing productionready code in Python
  • Experience building and deploying machine learning models
  • Strong understanding of machine learning and statistical methods.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment would be useful
  • Experience managing a team and creating strategic road maps for the business
  • Experience with project management and leading projects.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience working in a regulated environment would be ideal e.g. gambling
