We are looking for warm and friendly individuals to join our ever-growing business, who will be able to meet the needs and requirements of service users.
As this role involves working with potentially vulnerable individuals, a minimum of 6 months paid care or support work experience is essential.
For this role you will need to be a UK resident, as we are unable to offer sponsorships.
About our client
The Care Home is a brand-new state of the art residential care home which opened in summer 2021 in Chippenham.
The home offers high quality, personalised care for 48 residents aged 65 and over, including those with dementia, respite care to those who needit, and care for those at the end of their lives.
Your role is to help residents' maintain life-skills, improve their self-esteem and help them to maintain and develop their independence
The Care Home is located within a 15 minute walk of the train station and is served by local bus routes with local stops a short distance away.
About the role
Personal Care may be required for some residents
Establish and maintain relationships of trust with residents, to build engagement
Help residents to set, prioritise and achieve personal goals, to increase motivation and ambition.
Work flexibly with residents
Work with professionals from other agencies and make onward referrals
Work with residents on a 1:1 basis and in groups
Assist residents to manage friendships and family relationships
Assist residents to manage medication, including supporting people by prompting and/or administering medication according to procedures
Assist residents to manage their lives by helping with bills, forms, mail and appointments, accompanying residents to appointments as and when necessary
Encourage positive choices around food, leisure etc
Write clear word processed and handwritten reports (training provided) and records in English
Participate in mandatory and job-related courses and learning activities
Maintain professional boundaries in all aspects of work with residents
