Job Description:

Position Purpose

The primary purpose of the role is responsible for definition and implementation of serialisation into Birmingham operations. Ensuring effective implementation, monitoring and problem solving for serialisation-based activities on site. Providing effective day to day management of Serialisation activities and compliance on site. Including where applicable; Operations process definition and training coordination, safety on site; optimizing labour; material, equipment, and sustainability resources to maximize product availability and meet customer expectations with excellent quality and service

Major/Key Accountabilities

  • CHEP management responsibility of Serialisation definition and implementation into Operations and Yard.
  • Ensure all Plant activity complies with current H&S legislation. Ensure the operation is fully manned & trained within Safety Health Environment & Risk guidelines.
  • All staff on site are informed, engaged, and trained to meet all the Serialisation requirements.
  • Ensure compliance of serialisation processes are monitored and adhered to.
  • Ensure all serialisation KPIs are monitored and delivered
  • Threats and opportunities are proactively identified and managed effectively
  • Communications to the plant and wider Serialisation team are communicated effectively
  • All trials for serialisation are organised and delivered successfully

Qualifications:


  • IOSH managing safely
  • Desirable Qualifications: Lean & Six Sigma certification desirable.
Experience

  • Leadership experience in a Plant Operations.
  • In depth experience with CHEP Process and systems experience
  • Experienced with collecting and managing data
  • Experienced Site Lean or Continuous Improvement.
  • Experience in identifying, leading, and delivering operational change (small to large)
Skills and Knowledge

  • Knowledge of CHEP processes and systems and how they are used in the 'real world'
  • Ability to identify simple and effective ways to streamline an efficient process.
  • Ability to plan ahead and communicate the plan to relevant stakeholders
  • Proven skills and capabilities in leadership, communication, capability collaboration and problem solving.
  • Excellent Communication skills

  • PC Literate. Particularly strong Excel skills.
Languages

  • Essential: English
Preferred Education

Qualified Professional and Equivalent. Basic (3 years) - Operations Management

Preferred Level of Work Experience
