Description

We are seeking a doctor to fill a Clinical Fellow post in Sexual Health and HIV Medicine / Genitourinary Medicine at the 10 Hammersmith Broadway site of the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.


The department is a national leader in HIV and Sexual Health Medicine, and provides services at sites across the city and online.


The post holder will work in both sexual health and HIV services, investigating, diagnosing and managing infections, under appropriate consultant supervision.

This is an excellent post for those interested in the specialty to expand their knowledge and develop their skills and portfolio.

They will be supported and encouraged to contribute to audit, research and teaching.

The Doctor will work within the outpatient Sexual health and HIV team at 10 Hammersmith Broadway.

The post involves a 40 hour week, with no on call commitment. Opportunities to work out of hours may be available if desired.


They will be under the supervision of seniors, participating in busy sexual health clinics, specialist sexual health services, and HIV clinics.


The post-holder will be responsible for investigating, diagnosing and treating sexually transmitted infections and all aspects of sexual and reproductive health within the main GUM clinic.

They will be expected to be involved in specialist GU clinics and assist in the development of new clinical services.

They will also be supported in carrying out outpatient HIV clinic(s) weekly.

In addition they will also be responsible for checking and acting on laboratory results and discussion of these results with senior medical staff as required/appropriate.
