I am delighted to be working alongside a well-known Durham based business to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a perm contract.

This client are offering an immediate start date.
37.5 Hours per week - Monday to Friday

Duties will include:

  • Invoice processing
  • Processing expense and payment requests
  • Nominal Ledger Control Account Reconciliations
  • Daily Banking and cash book postings
  • Maintaining local purchase and sales ledgers
  • Raising adhoc sales invoices
  • Liaising with third party providers, clients and suppliers
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Basic administration & filing
  • Updating and maintaining procedural documentation
  • Monitoring daily communications and dealing with queries

Person Specification:

  • Attention to detail
  • High levels of accuracy in all processing
  • Good Microsoft Excel skills
  • Adaptability
  • Previous Accounting Background
  • Previous Motor Trade experience and advantage but not essential
  • Works well with others in a small administration team of 6 x colleagues
