Our current expansion has created an opportunity for a Production Operative to join our successful business and help run our STRAWMAX Straw Pellets manufacturing plant near Andover, Hampshire.
STRAWMAX is part of the BEDMAX range of equine and animal beddings.

We are a family run company, established 23 years ago, and you will become part of a national team of staff who have helped us become Britain's leading maker of horse beddings, with four production facilities throughout the UK, two Royal Warrants and an international reputation for the quality of our products.

Your role as our STRAWMAX Production Operative will be wide-ranging and varied, using complex equipment to ensure production is maintained safely and efficiently to the highest level of quality.

We are looking for someone positive and motivated, willing to take responsibility for running our Strawmax plant on a shift system, capable of using your own initiative, and fully prepared to work hard on your own and as part of our team.

Training in every aspect of the role, adding to your skills and qualifications, will be provided on induction and on an ongoing basis.

Your role will include:

Operating the Strawmax pelletising and bagging equipment safely and efficiently
Operating a fork lift safely and efficiently
Carrying out daily checks and preventative maintenance on all parts of the factory
Fault finding basic problems to ensure the factory keeps running
Keeping the plant and factory clean and safe
Maintaining our standards of production and product quality at all times
Undertaking regular training and continuous improvement

You will need:

Forklift driving experience
A driver's license and your own vehicle
A good standard of written and spoken English, and competence with numbers

Salary
- £13.20 per hour increasing with experience and upon successful completion of probationary period. This is inclusive of shift premium which is worked on a rotation system between morning and late shifts. Overtime is available and is paid at time and a half.
