Thinking Schools Academy Trust are seeking an eager to learn HR admin apprentice, to join their fantastic Trust

Summary of role:


To provide efficient and effective administrative support to the HR team to support the delivery of a proficient HR service and to provide general administrative support to the teams within the Kent Trust Office.


(You will be based at the Trust HQ site in Medway, Chatham - Park Crescent, Chatham Kent, ME4 6NR).

Apprenticeship Details:


You will be working towards your Level 3 HR qualification across a duration of 20 months. No classroom learning, all apprenticeship delivery to be done online/ virtual, through LMP Education (Rated 3rd best training provider across the UK).

  • Hours: 37 hours per week (Mon-Fri 8.30am 4.30pm) Full time, all year round role.

£6.50 per hour (higher than the national apprentice min wage)

  • 20 months apprenticeship program, Level 3 qualification

Main duties will include:


  • General HR administration, across employee relations, payroll and recruitment.
  • Producing induction packs, filing, and assisting with employee relations documentation; including disciplinary hearing packs.
  • Work alongside the HR Associates as a first point of contact for general HR enquiries
  • Assist with HR projects as and when required
  • To assist with the management of the HR inbox, & to provide first line support when necessary to ensure staff enquiries are dealt with professionally and in a timely manner
  • Supporting with basic payroll input, the production of contracts and other pay outcome letters.
  • Supporting with monthly payroll checks.
  • Support with the advertising of vacancies
  • The administration and upkeep of the HR libraries for our Office Managers and Headteachers.

ICT:


  • It is expected that all teaching and support staff follow the ICT Vision of the Trust.
  • All staff will be expected to utilise ICT and to improve communication and reduce paper use. Security procedures must be followed when using ICT systems.
  • All staff are expected to follow the procedures as laid out in the Trust's Acceptable Use Policy. Staff are also expected to ensure that they follow Trust policies with regard to professional conduct when using ICT systems or Trust ICT equipment.

  • You will be based at TSAT Hub. However, you may be asked to work at any of the other Hubs within the Trust and you should expect to travel between sites as required.

Requirements:


  • All applicants to have achieved GCSE Maths and English Grade C/4 or above OR Functional Skills Level 2 equivalent.
  • Have a positive 'cando' approach to their work and learning, a caring people person and a reliable member of the team.
