Responsibilities:
- Deliver the PE curriculum to students in order to improve their athletic ability, coordination, balance, flexibility, agility and overall health.
- Use and adapt lesson plans that are engaging, creative, and fun while also covering national curriculum standards.
- Encourage participation in sports activities within the school; foster a love of physical activity among students.
- Monitor student progress and development; provide feedback on individual student performance.
- Work closely with other teachers on coordinating crosscurricular activities related to Physical Education.
- Run extracurricular sports events and afterschool clubs.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Level 2 in a curriculum sport or relevant field.
- 2+ years of experience as a primary school PE teacher or equivalent role. (preferred)
- Indepth knowledge of Physical Education teaching methods, equipment, and techniques that work well with children.
- Ability to deliver engaging lesson plans which aim at improving the athletic performance of young students.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to explain concepts effectively in verbal and written form.
- Friendly personality; ability to work well with children of all ages.
