Baby Central is a growing Baby & Maternity distributor in the UK retail sector.


Baby Central specialises in supplying well known baby and maternity brands via our own e-commerce retail website and via our network of bricks and mortar retailers.

We specialise in products for parents and babies to support through pregnancy and beyond whether it be baby bottles or wheeled goods.


The Role


An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an exciting company during a period of growth as a Marketing Executive on a full time, permanent basis.

With plans to increase our business and visibility online, we are looking to build a high-performing team to accelerate this growth.

This role will also involve maternity cover for the Marketing Manger from August.


Principal Duties & Responsibilities include:


  • Collaborating with our strategic PR and digital marketing partners to deliver projects and campaigns on schedule.
  • Create engaging on brand marketing materials which reflect current market trends and post on the company's website and social media pages.
  • Building and maintaining great relationships with customers to support ongoing partnership and collaboration
  • Plan and organise the company's attendance at industry and consumer events to ensure they are presented on brand and within agreed budgets.
  • In advance of events, work with internal experts to design and create the relevant materials and stand designs to ensure maximum exposure for product/service offering.
  • Supporting the Sales Director and Marketing Manager with any other ad hoc agreed activities.
  • Help the Marketing Manager to oversee the company's marketing budget.
  • Support the Digital Content Creator to produce creative and engaging content ideas.
  • Keeping the company websites up to date and relevant.

Skills Required:


  • Must have demonstrable strong multichannel marketing experience.
  • Experience in being part of a successful marketing team.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Have a working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Have a working knowledge of Adobe design packages including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Confident to work with teams across the business, including directors.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to maintain relationships with external suppliers and customers.
  • Working knowledge of using social media platforms for businesses and brands.
  • Ability to design and create designs/projects that fulfil project briefs such as digital and print advertisements.
  • Attention to detail to ensure marketing outputs align with brand and message consistency.
  • Creative mindset with a continuous improvement approach and openness to experimenting with new marketing strategies.
  • Able to travel for customer visits and events, including during weekends.
  • Able to learn new things quickly, are naturally inquisitive and are not afraid to ask questions.
  • You have a willingness to grow, evolve and learn.
  • Must hold a full UK Driving License

Salary:
£25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday 8.30am 4.45pm
  • Friday 8.30am 3.30pm
  • Some weekend work at events
  • Office based in Leek, Staffordshire

Education:


  • A-Level or equivalent (preferred)
