CMA are pleased to be assisting their long standing client to recruit a Finance Assistant on an ongoing temporary basis to cover a particularly busy time based in their offices in Basingstoke, Hampshire.

The role of Credit Control Assistant is responsiblefor ensuring timely and accurate processing of Accounts Receivables to support the effective operation of the Accounts Operation team.

What will the Finance Assistant role involve?

Accurate/ timely posting of bank receipts with remittances from customers to SAP together with posting of approved write offs;
Use customer portals to identify payments and deductions that are to be made;
Ensure the timely processing of customer debit/credit notes to SAP, completing, where applicable, credit authorisation forms with supporting documentation and providing these to the appropriate manager for approval;
Maintaining accurate, up to date database of overdue receivables, including online reports and filing, to support with the management of receivables;
Supporting Credit Controllers with customer account reconciliations and allocations in the effort to maximise collections;
Liaising with supply chain and logistics teams to identify and resolve problems impacting on cash allocation and on the recoverability of debtors;
Supporting Operations Accountant with ad hoc tasks relating to AP and AR as required.
Ability to work under pressure to meet tight reporting deadlines;
Experience of working in an office environment;
Good organisation and time management skills;
Intermediate level MS Excel skills;
Experience of an Accounting package (SAP);
Selfmotivated and ability to work unsupervised;
Good numeric & communication ability.
