We are looking for a Personal Assistant to help care for Lorna who is based in Gretna.

Lorna has health issues which means that she is no longer as mobile as she was so requires the assistance of 2 people as she uses a hoist to get up and a wheelchair to get about.

Lorna requires assistance getting dressed and ready to go out, help getting into her wheelchair, and assistance to get into her wheelchair vehicle.

The Personal Assistant will need to be able to drive Lorna's vehicle on her insurance policy.

Lorna's interests include visiting the garden centre, shopping, the seaside, visiting friends and family and visiting the Cinema in Annan.

Lorna also used to attend the spiritualist church.

The proposed rota is every Sunday and every second Saturday. The pay rate is £11.00 per hour

Requirements:

Clean Driving Licence and access to own vehicle is essential. Applicant must be willing to drive Lorna's vehicle when necessary.
It is desirable that applicants have had previous experience in adult support services or care services, however, specific training can be sourced if the successful applicant has no previous experience in working in adult support services.
