Our client are an established, market leading business currently looking to recruit experienced Crane Service Engineers to join their growing team.


Overall Purpose

:


  • To be part of an experienced engineering team delivering the highest level of service to customers based at their Teesside site.
  • You will be inspecting, servicing, maintaining and repairing customers overhead cranes and lifting equipment across a wide range of industries.
  • You will also offer advice to customers on safety and operational improvements to ensure they stay compliant.

Key Duties

:


  • Planned maintenance, installation and breakdown cover.
  • The maintenance of overhead cranes, hoists and lifting equipment at customer sites.
  • Consult with customers on repair and safety related issues.
  • Complete appropriate documentation.
  • Answering and attending out of ours callouts:

  • If engineers are called out after 6PM, you will be paid the appropriate overtime rate for a minimum of 4 hours pay (even if you only attend the site for 1 hour to fix the break down, you will be paid for at least 4)

You will also be paid a £100 call out charge. If more than one engineer is required to attend the break down, then this £100 is split between them, if only one engineer attends, the full £100 is payable to that single engineer

If you work past midnight or are called out between midnight and 2AM you then are required to have a 4 hour laydown which means you won't report for work until 12.30pm and if you work past 2AM then an 8 hour laydown is required meaning you wouldnot be required to work until the following day.

Key Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required

:


  • Electromechanically trained (electrically bias).
  • Time served electrically qualified an advantage.
  • Understanding and knowledge of electrical drawings an advantage.
  • Comfortable working at height.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence.
  • Customer Focused.
  • Attention to Detail with a trouble shooting approach.
  • Organised and Presentable.
  • LEEA Qualifications, an advantage but not essential.
  • Further desirable qualifications/training: Abrasive Wheels, Harness Training, IPAF, National Safety Passport, Working at Height.

The Package

:

- £35,000 - £50,000 per annum depending on level of experience & qualifications.

  • 40 hrs per week Monday-Friday, although some out of hours and overtime will be required.
  • Additional out of hours call out fee payments.
  • 33 days holiday including bank holidays.
