Solutions Architect - Business Services - UK

Permanent Work from Home (WFH) with Client / Customer Site Visits Necessary / Business Travel Fully Expensed

Knowledge of current and emerging IT technologies - modern IT Infrastructure, Applications, Cloud-based technologies, Azure, Cloud Technologies, Dynamics and SaaS products etc.

Additionally one or more of IT disciplines such as:
CRM, complex casemanagement, Telephony, RPA/AI, Data Analytics etc. And you must be able to offer clearly defined solutions to business problems, along with being an analytical thinker and logical in approaching issues

The client are an FTSE 250 Total IT Solutions Provider and Global Outsourcing Specialist are seeking to secure the services of a Solutions Architect to deliver astute Infrastructure Frameworks across a wide and varied client base.


With long-term partnerships spanning over 30 years within Citizen Services, this client has provided a diverse range of IT Services to Local Authorities and Central Government.

These IT Services range from the administration of major employment and healthprogrammes, to managing major services in partnership with Local Authorities such as UK Leisure and Environmental Services.


You will work closely with clients and business representatives to understand their business needs and design solutions to tackle the IT needs of each project or bid.


To ensure, that as a Solution Architects, you will maximize value and credibility and need to be a specialist in at least one specific IT area whilst maintaining a vast knowledge of current and emerging IT technologies.


The expectation is that you will work alongside the IT Project Manager to address the need of each business, in addition to understanding the overall impact of proposed solutions to the profitability of the business.


The Solution Architect will have significant interaction with the BU DP, Enterprise Architects, as well as technical architects, technical teams etc.


What you'll need to do the role:

  • Experience in Government-outsourced opportunities and practical experience of understanding business requirements, whilst maintaining a knowledge of current and emerging IT technologies
  • A solid understanding of modern IT Infrastructure, Applications, Cloudbased technologies (SaaS, Azure etc.)
  • A strong background and experience in at least one of the following IT disciplines: CRM, complex case management, Telephony, Azure, Cloud technologies, Dynamics, SaaS products, RPA/AI, Data Analytics etc.
  • Must be able to offer clearly defined solutions to business problems, along with being an analytical thinker and logical in approaching issues
  • Will have effective communication skills that enables you to convey complex technical details to clients in laymen terms
  • Will have uptodate technologies exposure
  • You should have experience leading and supporting the translation of business requirements via Sales and Pre-Sales Teams into technical system design and architecture.
Experience and ability to use service improvement techniques such as BPR, LEAN and root cause analysis is essential as is experience of working with Architecture Frameworks and Tools (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman, BCS Enterprise & Solutions Architecture).
