Research & Solutions Associate - Global Health & Benefits

What can you expect:


  • The global Health & Benefits business is looking to expand the central team responsible for coordinating intellectual capital, thought leadership and research around the world. This is an exciting opportunity to work with senior leaders and join an agile, global team focused on driving local, regional and global growth for our Health & Benefits business (primarily Mercer Marsh Benefits).

This role can be based in the following locations; UK, Europe, Dublin, Belfast or Canada or on a remote basis.**

We will rely on you to:

  • Driving end-to-end development of one to three global flagship research piece per year including the formulation of a point of view, survey instrument creation, coordination with external partners, quantitative and qualitative analysis of data for key insights, enablement of local teams to use research to drive growth, coordination with marketing on campaign activity, and development of needed assets
  • Researching and summarizing findings from peer reviewed papers on various global healthrelated topics and assisting with multicountry survey work
  • Independently assembling and updating presentations for senior management and external audiences using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint in a fastpaced, everchanging leadership environment
  • Supporting efforts to share research and new intellectual capital with Health & Benefit consultants around the world by working with senior management, regional consulting leaders, sales, marketing and knowledge management teams
  • Helping coordinate and standardize global approaches and points of view to address time sensitive issues with clients
  • Collaborating on initiatives with organizations such as the World Economic Forum, the Women's Forum, and Global Business Group on Health, when needed
  • Overseeing and effectively project managing all aspects of complex, global projects, from start to finish, so they are completed on schedule
  • Supporting other ad hoc projects related to general Health & Benefits business strategy, new solution development and leadership reporting

What you need to have:


  • Willingness and ability to work across multiple time zones and cultures.
  • Solid experience in health and benefitsrelated consulting at the country, regional or global level.
  • Knowledge of employee benefit plan issues, processes and evolving market landscape.
  • Enthusiastic about modernization of employee benefit plans.
  • Selfstarter who is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively on a team.
  • Willingness to tackle and develop solutions to problems that may not initially be clearly defined.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Experience in strategy and/or research preferred.
