A glimpse at the role
As a Copywriter at HDY you'll be expected to think with our client's customer in mind.

Not only how they experience brands in channel but what makes them really tick, finding new ways for our clients to activate their brands in authentic and relevant ways.

Your love of language will be paired with a keen interest in all digital channels.

Your day-to-day could range from campaign concepting, bringing a brand's tone of voice to life, to the joined up UX thinking behind the copy on every page of a website.

Whatever the task, every opportunity should be seen as a chance to hone your skills and make sure all our creative leaves a lasting impression.

We don't expect you to know it all - but you should definitely want to.

As a senior member of the creative team, you'll need to manage your own time and take ownership of projects.

You'll be the agency's lead writer and when not paired up with our Art Director you'll be working with other amazing thinkers:
visual designers, animators and videographers.


What you'll be getting your hands on...

• Leading and overseeing all copy delivery for HDY and our clients
• Working closely with clients and internal teams to ensure that brief objectives are met
• Coaching our conceptual writer, setting and monitoring priorities, directing and proofreading their work
• Playing an integral role to help shape the creative direction of the business by owning and continuously improving our copy output

Who you'll get to work with...

You'll support our Creative Director, working alongside our brilliant Art Director, Visual Designers, Motion Graphics Designer, Videographers, Digital and Client Services teams.

What we're looking for...

• A solid background in conceptual and digital copywriting with a range of sectors and brands.
• Proven experience in a similar role in an agency environment.
• Management experience.
• A portfolio brimming with excellent creative commercial work examples.
• A strong communicator someone who is as comfortable working with our innovative team as they are with our client base.
• Will bring passion and energy to all communications.
• A conceptual and strategic thinker.
• A true collaborator who will act as a bridge between our creative and content management teams.
• Someone who works well under tight deadlines and won't be fazed by fast turnaround times.
• Proven work experience in a similar role and agency background.
