Infusion Team Leader

Cockwells is globally respected in the marine industry and at the forefront of designing and
building luxury motor launches and superyacht tenders. We cleverly integrate traditional
boatbuilding skills with innovative engineering and modern techniques to build vessels of the
highest quality.

We're looking for an Infusion Team Leader to join our team working Monday to Thursday 7am to
17.30pm.

**Job description

  • To work from drawings and construction instructions to layup components in an
accurate manner within time and cost budget.

  • To distribute job travellers and ensure that your team has the information they need and
have clear deadlines and objectives.

  • To prepare moulds for layup without supervision and take the part through to
completion.

  • To record work done according to Cockwells quality control processes and ensure job
traveller are updated correctly and fed back to production management.

  • To work with and report to the management team, in order to allocate the labour
resources efficiently for the duration of the project.

  • Reporting regularly to your team on the progress of the tasks and projects so they have
feedback on their own progress and standards within the project.

  • Ensure the workforce perform their assigned tasks within the allotted times to the
expected standards.

  • To monitor and report to management on all H&S issues, to highlight any H&S risks and
issues, and maintain a clean and tidy safe working environment.

  • To liaise with the production team on any issues that may occur.
  • To liaise and feedback with the design office throughout the whole manufacturing

- process.
  • To monitor the stock of consumables and report any shortages.
  • To work within the company procedures and policies.
  • To maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Essential skills and experience

  • Expected to have a good knowledge of infusion in a variety of materials and be capable
of training other members of the team.

  • Good organisational skills.
  • Able to delegate effectively.
  • Selfmotivated.

Desirable skills

  • Computer literate in Microsoft packages

Location
Your normal place of work will be at one or more of the Cockwells sites at: Mylor Creek Boatyard,
Mylor Bridge, Falmouth, Cornwall, TR11 5NS; Southwest Shipyard, Ponsharden, Falmouth, TR11
2SE; or at Vospers of Ponsharden, Falmouth, TR10 8AB.


Salary
Up to £16.50/ hour.
