JOB TITLE
Process Operator - Full Time

DEPARTMENT

REPORTING TO
Plant Manager

RESPONSIBLE FORJOB PURPOSE**To support the Plant Manager and site operational team in the overall business unit in all aspects of site operations.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations

Liaise with Plant Manager to ensure daily site checks and routines are maintained to ensure the site remains both compliant with EPR (Permit) and maintains operational performance.
Day to day plant operations
Accepting waste when it arrives to site, loading the waste into the depackaging process using a frontend loading shovel/telehandler
Moving materials around the site using mobile plant
Telehandler
Controlling the delivery trucks bringing waste to site, helping them in and out of the tipping hall. Offloading vehicles with a forklift truck.
Some first line maintenance to help maintain pumps, pipework and process.
Washing and cleaning around site with a jet washer
Completing maintenance tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the plant.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Process and Operational Experience desired but not essential.
Be familiar with computercontrolled plant operation.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
A positive flexible attitude and able to work shifts
A telehandler or forklift truck licence is desired, but training will be given if you don't have an active licence.
A handson and proactive approach
A basic understanding of Health and Safety requirements at work
A willingness to work hard, be adaptable to business requirements and to assist operations when overtime is required.
An ability to manage your own time effectively and the ability (after training) to problem solve independently

SALARY
Up to 26,000 a year depending on experience

WORKING HOURS
10 hour Shifts - Monday to Friday

7am - 5pm (Some flexibility in times)

Saturday overtime on a rota basis
