Senior Facade Consultant:

Starting salary £47,000+

A Senior Facade Consultant is an experienced consultant that has provided specialist facade-related information for a range of different projects across the built environment and at different stages of the project life cycle.

7 Stage Role Brief:

Lead works alongside team members and resolves complex tasks:

engineer for any particular project where necessary to deliver surveys in line with contractual requirements
Successfully manage small/medium projects-This will involve managing the following aspect of the project: commercial elements of the project, financials, quality management, ownership, planning, customer care and closing out the report.
Maintaining effective working relationships

-You will be a role model on how customer service should be delivered and to help guide graduates and engineers to develop their customer-facing skills.-
Develop technical abilities and contribute to companywide technical excellence:

The Fire Surveyor will have an understanding of building pathology, building concepts, construction typology and building materials
Supporting all levels of the team and mentoring juniors

A Senior will be able to successfully coach and mentor those less senior within the team, ensuring effective teamwork and developing their teams technical and non-technical skills to allow them to progress in their own careers.

Provide consultancy services that focus on successful outcomes for our clients in an ethical manner-

At all times the Senior Consultant should exercise these responsibilities in an ethical manner in line with their professional body's Code of Conduct/ Ethical Principles as well as the BB7 value.

Requirements:

An Engineering Council accredited BEng, MEng or MSc (MSc in Façade Engineering form UWE/Bath would be preferred)
Associate Member of a relevant professional body (e.g. CIBSE, CABE, ICE, IStructE)
Working on plan to become Chartered with a body such as Engineering Council (EC), RICS or CABE
Solid technical understanding of the role of a Facade Engineer/Consultant in the design team and scope of services throughout the various stages of building design, construction and occupation.
Have the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, working to tight deadlines and successful project and time management skills.
