Human Resources/Payroll Assistant, Arts, London £13p/h plus holiday pay.

Our client, a world-renowned arts organisation based in Central London, requires a Human Resources/Payroll Assistant. This is a temp role and is to start ASAP.


Job Description:


  • Provide first line support for general HR queries, escalating as appropriate
  • Assist with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties
  • Provide administrative support to the Human Resource team
  • Compile and update employee records
  • Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities
  • Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc) and take minutes
  • Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules and regulations
  • Conduct initial orientation to newly hired employees
  • Assist in running pension schemes ensuring corporate responsibilities are being complied with
  • Collate, input and ensure the integrity of payroll data for accurate processing
  • Support Payroll Advisor with Payroll queries
  • Collaborate with Payroll team to ensure accurate payroll administration
  • Assisting with the new starter process
  • Updating HR system Resourcelink with new information to ensure accurate and upto
- date employee information is readily available

  • Managing the teams HR inboxes in line with agreed SLAs
  • Organise inductions and onboarding for new starters

You will have:

  • A minimum of a years experience working in a busy administrative support role in Human Resources department
  • Experience of working in a similar sized organisation of up to 500 people
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with excellent attention to detail
  • HR competence and knowledge of HR processes and systems, inc; Outlook, SharePoint, and all Microsoft packages
  • Positive attitude towards working in a fastpaced environment
  • Demonstrable experience in maintaining efficient admin systems.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and confidently via telephone, in person and in writing.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
