Description
We are a well-established family run street lighting business delivering high quality street lighting solutions to local authorities.


We are looking for an experienced HGV Grab driver to work from our depot in Widnes with experience and or training in Hook (Clamshell would be an advantage).

Must have at least 1 years experience of using a Grab Wagon with Hook

Job duties and responsibilities could include:

  • Excavation including safe working in the vicinity of buried plant
  • Safe working in the vicinity of electricity and telephone overhead lines
  • Signing, Lighting & guarding when required
  • Following Safe Systems of Work procedures
  • Installing / Removing Columns
Minimum Qualifications Required

  • CSCS Card
  • Lorry loader Hook (Clamshell would be an advantage)
  • Streetworks
Desirable Qualifications

  • First Aid
  • Manual Handling
  • Abrasive Wheels
  • HERS Registered
  • NVQ level 2 in street lighting


A full clean driving licence (minor points considered) is essential as are the relevant authorisations to operate a Hiab vehicle.

Salary is based on experience and holding the required qualifications for the role
