Mechanical Design Engineer - £35k-£45k - Hertfordshire - Special Purpose Machinery
My client design, develop and manufacture special purpose machinery.

They're looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer who is eager to take on more responsibility to design & develop bespoke machinery from concept stages through to production.

This isa great opportunity to join an expanding business and have a real input into product development.


Main Duties:


  • Create new design concepts - cradle to grave
  • 3D CAD design
  • Prototype and test designs
  • Create BOM's
  • Conduct feasibility studies for new concepts
  • Problem solving

Skills & Experience Required:


  • Experience in Special purpose machinery
  • Familiar with geometric tolerances
  • Strong 3D CAD skills - Ideally Solidworks
  • Experience in the full product lifecycle
  • Experience in sheet metal
  • Hands on and practical
**The salary will be between £35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience. There is also a generous benefits package available.
