Lilian Faithfull Care is a well-established charity based in Gloucestershire that provides care, support and a home for Life for the elderly.

We have 5 Care homes in the Cheltenham area and a Nursing home in the Stroud area.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Lilian Faithfull Care and make a difference for our staff and residents

  • The successful applicant will report to the Director of Care, and will lead and Implement the training strategy for Lilian Faithfull Care Group.
  • Developing a learning culture and using suitable technology enhance the training offering to staff.
  • You will have been a trainer in a health & social care setting previously and will be able to deliver manual handing, safeguarding and fire safety training to staff. You will have a good understanding of Dementia and may be a dementia Link worker.
(training can be given if skills need updating). You will also source suitable training providers for different needs.

  • The training will focus of developing competencies of our colleagues ensure they all have the knowledge, skills and behaviours to thrive in their role.
  • The post holder must have a strong learning and development interest, you will be creative and influence the training offering.
  • Enthusiastic, highly motivated and able to inspire others. You will have a good understanding of the training needs within social care and have excellent facilitation skills, taking a coaching approach. Able to communicate at all levels and have good administration skills, although there will be some admin support.
  • Please note the successful applicant is likely to have some clinical skills or a very good understanding as they will support the Nurse associates through their training.
