My client, a well regarded Barristers Chambers, who are seeking an experienced HR & Pupillage Executive to join the organisation on a permanent basis.


This is a broad and varied role, offering support across the Chambers Pupillage programmes, EDI initiatives, HR administration support and EA support to the Board.

Working closely with the Head of HR, CEO and other Seniors within the Chambers.

Some of the duties will include:

  • Provide administrative support to the CEO, including all meeting scheduling for the CEO, and for the Seniors
  • Plan and schedule Committee meetings, gather and distribute papers and take minutes
  • Plan and schedule Management Board meetings, gather and distribute papers and take minutes
  • Provide administrative support to the Chair of Chambers
  • Supporting the Head of HR with all HR matters, such as general HR administration, recruitment management, attending ER and performance meetings and taking notes, onboarding and integration for Barristers, pupillage administration and general adhoc requests
  • Support the People Team to facilitate and organise appropriate staff/member learning and development opportunities incl. compulsory, desirable occupational and essential statutory continued professional development for internal pupillage training
  • Responsible for tracking and accurately reflecting any changes to the organisational structure, including details about recruitment, leavers and starters, pupillage, outreach updates. Responsible for keeping all HR records up to date for everyone in Chambers
  • Project manage and organise the pupillage recruitment process from start to finish each year
  • Organise and administer the pupil training process, including pupil supervisor selection, briefings and check ins
  • Promote equality of opportunity, diversity, and inclusiveness to ensure that the delivery of people management, policies, and systems through all aspects of the Chambers are fair, transparent, and consistent, without prejudice or discrimination to all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Responsible for accurately maintain Chambers diversity monitoring data updated, through ongoing administration and regular reporting to professional bodies, the management Board and senior leadership team to ensure appropriate action is taken.
  • Manage Chambers' equality diversity and inclusion related initiatives, events and meetings
You will need to possess strong relationship building skills, whilst working with a diverse workforce.
