The opportunity:

Join our Farnborough Claims team, our Claims function is the largest department in our UK General Insurance business, and it's critical in ensuring we provide our customers with an efficient, professional and empathetic service.


As an experienced Claims Handler you'll provide a quality, front line, focused claims service that supports the achievement of department.

Dealing with a range of situations, our customers will look to you to work quickly to provide them support at an often-stressful time.


Many of our employees work flexibly in a variety of different ways, including part-time, flexible hours, job share, an element of working from home or compressed hours.

This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren't available full-time.

What will you be doing?

  • Promptly handles and positively resolves all enquiries from both customer and external contacts to ensure delivery of a focused claims service.
  • Reviews, resolves and proactively finalises claims within authority limits ensuring settlement at an optimum level with consideration to business implications.
  • Maximise productivity and profitability within the team.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team culture.

Who are we looking for?

  • Insurance Claims experience is preferrable however customer services experience will be desirable
  • Proven experience in promptly handling and resolving queries with a focused claims service
  • Ability to review, resolve and proactively finalise claims within authority limits
  • Experience of working within a team and coping with varying workloads and pressures
  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Effective negotiation skills
  • Decision making
  • Ability to coach; motivate & develop where appropriate
