Introduction:

We are looking for a Technical Lead to provide expertise to projects and oversee the implementation of technical solutions in line with customer specifications and business needs.

My client is a multinational defence organisation who supply their customers with complex engineering solutions for their business needs.

Key responsibilities:

Producing the Project Engineering Plan that defines how the approved technical solution will be implemented by the project team.
Identify any technical issues with the proposed solution and agreeing with the Design Authority and customer.
Produce and maintain the Product Backlog that identifies the complete scope of technical work for the project.
Ensure that specific Backlog items are understood and can be selected for inclusion within Sprint Backlogs, ensuring that items are implemented in line with the approved scope.

- work with the Compliance Verification Engineer to ensure that sufficient verification and validation coverage is being attained to support qualification of the changed system.

Providing accurate status reports to the Design Authority and Project Manager.

Skills & experience:

Experience of all aspects across the software development lifecycle.
Experience of working in an Agile development environment using both Scrum and Kanban
Define and elicit detailed system & software requirements, translating these into Use Cases.
An understanding of system level architecture as well as knowledge of cross platform development.
The ability to conduct design, code and unit test inspections, reviews, and walkthroughs.
Knowledge of development in C/C++ on Linux.
