As a Paraplanning Team Leader you will be responsible for the day to day running and development of the paraplanning team, ensuring that work is produced efficiently and to the highest standard.

You will work collaboratively with your team members to ensure a consistent and exceptional level of service is maintained for both Financial Planners and clients.

You will provide guidance and leadership to a growing team of Paraplanners, at various stages of their professional journeys.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Work and liaise with key Product Providers; Planners; Investment Managers and Compliance stakeholders to understand client, legislative and regulatory requirements and ensure these are reflected in report templates as relevant.
  • Be one of the primary points of contact for colleagues, management, and Financial Planners to represent the team, and to identify and resolve issues.
  • Lead the development and management of team members including KPIs, training & development, 121s, performance management and annual testing.
  • Maintain effective management of the Paraplanning team, ensuring client work is produced to the appropriate quality standards.
  • Maintain up to date industry and technical knowledge.
  • Utilise technology to ensure that the teams operate efficiently, with the ability to produce management information to highlight issues/resource requirements and productivity.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:


  • CII Diploma in Financial Planning/Regulated Financial Planning as a minimum with an interest in working towards Chartered Status.
  • Proven experience in paraplanning or a technical role gained within a similar industry.
  • Experience in training, developing, and managing team members effectively.
  • Excellent knowledge of all key areas of financial planning and advice.
  • Strong leadership/people management skills with the ability to support, coach, review, and develop staff effectively.
